Every year, Casera awards bursaries of $750 each to graduating students from neighbourhood high schools. To qualify, these individuals must be entering either a post-secondary academic, professional, trade or vocational institution, or enrolling in an apprenticeship program. The bursaries are based on educational achievement, involvement in community and school activities and programs, and financial need.
“Graduating high school students can leverage their academics and life experiences, which may include community involvement and volunteer work, to acquire a bursary” explains Brent Thomas, Casera’s CEO. “The money can be used to help pay for tuition, books or equipment.”
The following schools are participating partners in Casera’s bursary program:
Calvin Christian Collegiate
Immanuel Christian School
Murdoch MacKay Collegiate
Springfield Collegiate Institute
You can fill out a bursary application online or pick one up at your neighbourhood branch.
Please submit completed applications by Friday, March 15, 2019.
